One of the first things people notice when they arrive at Grants Pass is the flow of the Rogue River right through the center of the city, but what makes them want to stay is its Mediterranean style hot summers and mild winters.

As if that weren’t enough, the Department of Parks and Recreation hosts an annual summer event called Concerts in the Park, held at the Riverside Park, which is also the launching area for scenic river tours.
Grants Pass is served by the Grants Pass and Three Rivers school districts, which support a variety of schools at all levels. As if all this weren’t enough, Rogue Community College established its main campus to the south of the city. All this, coupled with the abundance of vegetation, the city’s focus on the environment, and its small-town charm, Grants Pass is considered to be one of the best areas to live in the southern portion of the state.
